Happy Christmas (Yoko is Over)

Well, tomorrow is Christmas Eve (comic is still going up!) and seeing as I'm a retail wage slave AND I'll be at work tomorrow I thought it appropriate to say a few words on the subject of Christmas in retail.

I'd like to say a few words to all of you. Not as people, but
as customers. I'd like to remind you that during this time of
"joy" and "peace" and "harmony" that there is a simple rule
to remember. You get better service when you are a better
person. You seen, people complain about the service in stores
during this time of year. They say that we're rude and short
and that we act like we don't want to give you the time of
day. Well, that is mostly true, but you get what you give.
Every year we are treated like something worse than farm
animals. We are treated like dirt on Christmas Eve because
you decided to wait until the last minute and thought you'd
be all right. You get angry because we sold out of that new
toy in mid-December. We don't have that piece of furniture
because we had a limited supply and you waited too late and
somehow this is all our fault. You never stop to think that while
you're yelling at us and you think we're getting what we
deserve that we're people. We have feelings. We'd rather be at
home with our family and friends celebrating. . .
Like you. . .
So please, remember. We're all humans riding the same
mudball around the sun. Let's try to treat each other with
some respect.

That being said, have a Merry Christmas everyone.
