Life and Surrounding Concepts

So much change. . . Back at the beginning of the year I was at the end of my rope. I felt alone, defeated, and like the world was over. I wanted, above everything else, to die. I saw my therapist but it didn't help. Warren made me go see the clinic's psychologist in April. Dr. Patel talked to me and asked me some very direct questions and then gave me a prescription for venlafaxine. We've changed dosage a bit since then, but my world has completely changed. There's hope and life and brightness and the possibility of success. I can love myself. I can confront problems head on. I've put Errant Apprentice on indefinite hiatus. I was burnt out from it and tired of working on it. I've been on Mailbox Rocketship since and the updates keep coming. It feels good to work on comics again. I'm looking forward to next year. :)

Update for August 2015

Oh what things I've seen! I've been listening to a Studio Killers Pandora station for months now and it's full of electronic dance music. I've written and envisioned so much to that station that it's ridiculous. Almost all of it is related to Mailbox Rocketship. That's not a big surprise really. We're headed toward the end of Errant Apprentice and the bulk of the writing is done. Now I can concentrate on Keith and Company. It's funny. The series is a revamp of Kota'sWorld but it's so different. The reason that's funny though are the similarities. All the little things I find myself doing that I know for a fact would have gone into the original series. I'm also still doing the Patreon thing. It's doing so-so right now. We lost our biggest backer and I understand why and have no bad feeling towards him. Life happens. I just need to get more people donating. Ok. Out of time for now. More in a few months? Maybe?

December - March update.

So back in November I remembered I had this blog. Today I did a search for Everywhen Comics and remembered it again. Not as bad as that seven year stretch, but still pretty bad. Anyway. After a failed attempt in January to launch my own Patreon alternative, I'm back on Patreon again. I've got ten patrons and I'm hoping to draw in more. Project wise I'm about ready to be done with EA. There's nothing wrong with it, I've just been at it for sooo long. I want to concentrate on Mailbox for a while but I refuse to abandon EA. Especially since I'm this close to the end. I've been thinking about that stretch from 2008 to 2010 when I was in school and working and I couldn't get the updates done like before. It's weird. On some level it's like nothing happened for those two years. Now that I'm here, in 2015, I regret that period. Ah well. I've rambled enough for now. Hopefully there will be an update before 2021. :)

Oh mercy, I forgot about this place!

So I've always said I have too many blogs. The fact that I haven't updated this one since 2007 pretty much proves that! I've been doing most of my real blogging over at Bloggity, Bloggity, Blog and a few posts over on the comic sites for news updates. That being said, if you're a regular reader here, let's go over what's been happening in the last seven years. Also, if you're a regular reader here, DANG you're patient! In 2008 I met my girlfriend Kathryn and we've been together since. On her suggestion I went to college and got a degree in graphic design. I'm currently working for a real estate appraiser and trying to find a job in my field. Almost two months ago my father passed away after a year of illness. I'm still coming to terms with that. On the one hand, I'm free to do things I want to do now and don't have the responsibilities of a caregiver. On the other hand, I miss him so much I would trade nearly anything to have one...

Update of projects.

A general run down of where we currently stand with all the Sweatshop projects. Kota's World - Finished. Currently working on revamp for possible print only availability. Still in early planning stages. Geebo - Canceled. Let's not mince words. Geebo is over. I was retreading ground and getting no where. I wasn't connected to the characters and nothing felt real to me. Munki's Tales - Currently in rewrites. I like the direction it's going and I think some time next year I may work on it on an irregular basis. The Errant Apprentice - Doin' okay! Series continues, working on the book when I can. The cover is being planned and worked on by Warren so I'm happy with that. Sweatshop Studios - Yeah, the whole project itself. I was planning on renaming the site "Everywhen Studios" but I realized that I've been using Sweatshop now on and off for over a decade and I'll be darned if I let it go yet. That being said, Madscott and I have tossed a few ide...

SKETCHCAST!!

There were some issues with the mic, so you may want to turn your volume up a bit. I'll try and do better next time. Enjoy!
